here are some tips for new blogs! i got a few questions about what to do if you’re new, so i thought i would answer everything here.
- make an intro post!
this is really important for others to know a little about you! include elements like what you’re studying, what your hobbies are, and what you are interested in posting/reblogging. that way, those who share your interests or study what you do will check out your blog and your posts. talk about any goals you want to accomplish so that others can advise you of a good way to start. others with the same goal will be able to relate-this makes it easier to meet people like you! don’t forget to tag your favourite blogs! this will move your post around and make the tagged blogger v happy ^^
2. reblog.
this will get your blog going! you need to have content on your blog to actually start it up. by reblogging other posts, you are:
- helping the original poster’s content get more notes
- making your blog look aesthetically pleasing
- getting an idea of what you would like to post
- letting others find resources/tips for studying
follow tags so that new content that you like will pop up on your dashboard. this way, you’ll be able to find so many different blogs.
3. upload original posts.
by posting original posts, you get others to check out your blog easier! flaunt your passions and whatever you’re good at. take good pictures that are clear and aesthetically pleasing. if you’re going to share your work, make it so that others can benefit from the information! this is a studying community, so all the help we can give is always a great thing!
remember, original posts aren’t just pictures or masterposts! You can share something from your day, ask questions, or even reblog non-studyblr content. it’s your blog, so you do you ^^
you can make motivational banners if you are into computer apps and theme designing, etc. all in all, share pieces of what you are good at so that not only will you benefit, others will too! if you make a long text post, try to create a header to summarize the topic of the post. it can be fancy or simple, but make it so that it’s readable and eye-catching!
4. encourage new blogs!
don’t be the person who gets 5600 followers but only follows 1. that’s selfish—follow as many blogs as you like, but don’t think you have to only follow a set number. help out other blogs by reblogging their intros and checking out their blogs! even reblogging something from their blog pushes the activity graph’s line up, which always helps. give people words of luck and answer any questions someone may have. basically, try to help each other out
5. interact.
If you get a follower, check out their blog. usually, I’ll immediately reblog something from their blog (if I’m on at the time) or follow back. follow different tags, and don’t always look at the most popular posts! check out the recently posted content. talk to other blogs, compliment others, and tag others in fun challenges or “get-to-know-me” posts.
6. tag your content.
if you want a certain audience to receive your posts, tag them properly!i’ll tag “masterposts” or “writing” for example. if it’s a helpful post, i’ll add “tips” or “help”. link any type of tag that you use often on your blog to help others navigate your blogs for their certain interests. LINK YOUR ORIGINAL POSTS to your blog! this will help others check out all of your posts in one area.
7. have a posting/reblogging schedule.
rather than posting three things in one day and disappearing for a week, post one thing and either schedule it to post later or save it as a draft. queue posts so that you can offer your interests to others even when you’re too busy to sign in! spacing out your posts is important !have fun and be kind!
we are highly interactive community! help others, and you will most definitely find help you way! encourage others when they mention their problems or weaknesses! share your problems with others, and they will do the same!
there we go! i hope this is super helpful for everyone! good luck with your blogs! don’t be shy to shoot me a message if you want me to check you out, and if you want, tag me in your posts ! t follow the tag “ohvos” so i get everything and try to reblog everything that appears under that tag! study well!
